The Issue of Healthcare Economics

One of the first things I learned in the nursing program was how to work efficiently as a part of the healthcare team and communicate with other members of the team. In order to do this, we worked in groups to identify a current issue in nursing. The group I was in chose to research the issue of healthcare economics and how it is managed around the world. We all worked on different parts of the project then created a cohesive presentation to share with the rest of the class. This mimicked the act of researching a problem within the healthcare system and presenting it to the team. As a nurse, one of my responsibilities will be using current evidence to create solutions to obstacles in care. I may one day have to present research to other healthcare professionals and learn how to communicate effectively. This project helped me learn to work closely with others to inform more people of a major issue faced everyday in healthcare.
