As a member of the Longwood University Student Nursing association I get to participate in many fundraising events around campus. One of the most interesting events that I participated in was the haunted hospital. Each October, the association creates a haunted hospital for students and faculty to go through. Fall semester, I was on the committee for organizing the haunted hospital, so I got to do a lot of interesting things. Not only did I help with collecting supplies and setting up the hospital “rooms”, I also got to be a patient in our “emergency department.” It was a great opportunity to work with my fellow nursing students to create an event that many people on campus got to enjoy. All proceeds from ticket sales went towards our association to fund other events throughout the year.
