While I was in Ireland I had the opportunity to participate in Dublin Simon Community’s volunteer day. Dublin Simon Community is an organization that uses donations made by the public to help the homeless community in several areas around Ireland. I got to help with sorting the items to go into their thrift shops to support their organization. This organization also provides homeless persons with emergency housing and a soup kitchen. This experience was unique, and I am humbled to have helped those in need while in Ireland.
