Catharine Forst created Elite Performance, in 2022, where she aimed to serve and better young athletes in their journey throughout sports. She sits in the highest position in the facility, where she oversees the whole facility management, and more specifically the office administrators, sports performance, and competition sections.

Catharine Forst graduated summa cum laude from Longwood University in 2023 and went on to Longwood graduate school and received her master’s in 2024. She has received a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Administration and Leadership in Sport and Exercise, as well as a master’s in business management.

Forst’s creation of the Elite Performance and her athletic director positioning was followed from an internship and job in sports management within a sports performance facility, called Athlete Addictions, where she shadowed and worked directly with the founder, Robin Colangelo. In addition, while receiving her master’s at Longwood University, she interned within the Longwood’s Athletic Department and shadowed and helped Athletic Director, Michele Meadows. After college, Catharine worked at a local sports facility as a general manager, called K sports, located in Bristow, Virginia. Furthermore, Forst has direct connection with the sport industry as she has played youth club sports, both soccer and basketball, and collegiate soccer at Longwood University.

As the Athletic Director, Catharine oversees all aspects of the athletic entity, which includes the management, performance, and recreational functions of the facility. She is in charge of hiring of the staff and coaches, ordering equipment, promoting events, matches, etc, constructing budgets, and facilitating operations among the facility. Many of these tasks, she may be the lead on, but also works closely with the director of performance and director of competition. Catharine is an excellent communicator, empathetic, hard-working, and strives to better the youth and people around her.
