Press Release

I also worked with the same group as before when creating the brochure to create a News Release to correspond with the information from our brochure. The purpose of a News Release is to deliver news about a product or service for advertisement purposes. Our News Release is linked to course outcome number 1 (analyze and produce writing genres commonly found in the professional world). We created our News Release to inform the audience about our product, EcoTech. We geared this product towards an audience of homeowners because the product is used for any home. As a group, we carefully analyzed other releases commonly found in the professional world to create our own release. We also created this professional document that uses a specific design and layout, which is course objective number 4.  To begin this release, we had to get the attention of the audience. We also followed the AIDA method, in which we found the desire section challenging to create. The desire section presents the benefits of EcoTech, but should also aim to overcome possible objections which was challenging to write. It is easy to explain all the benefits of EcoTech, but it was challenging thinking of possible objections homeowners may have to the product and addressing them in this section. We overcame this challenge by brainstorming all of the disadvantages and working together to find solutions to them and explain them in the release.
