Purpose: Students to communicate, review, and if needed, revise junior internship goals.
Knowledge: This is an opportunity for students to communicate with their mentors what they hope to achieve and “walk away with” by the completion of the internship. Mentors should offer approval and/or recommendations for revision. It is important for students and mentors to take into consideration the change in format for this internship when completing the goals. Make sure all the goals are obtainable in the remote setting. This will allow mentors and students to work towards these common goals together.
Task:
- Upon beginning the internship, the student is to review the goals with the Agency Supervisor for modifications and additions. An in-person (Zoom, call, etc.) meeting with the student’s mentor is required to complete this assignment.
- Once the mentor has reviewed and approved the student’s goals and objectives, they will be uploaded as a blog post. The mentor should post that these are approved in the comments.

Criteria for Success:

Learning Outcome: Review/Revision/Completion of Goals The student has reviewed and revised goals in collaboration with their mentor. They are appropriate for a remote internship.
