Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to summarize, organize, present and evaluate the culminating course project.
Knowledge: The student will receive feedback from the instructor and mentor on strengths and weaknesses of the project, evaluate the overall continuity and comprehensiveness of the project.
Task: The student organize all the relevant information from the overall project into a PowerPoint presentation. In addition to the information gathered thus far, the student will add a plan to implement the change and explain how the CTRS will measure (audit) whether the change resulted in the desired outcome. This presentation will be given via Zoom and will be treated as though it is being presented at a professional conference. The presentation must include the following information:
- Title Slide
- Overall summary of the agency and RT services provided.
- Identify populations served, along with common strengths and areas of needed functional improvement.
- Overview of the RT program at the agency.
- Overview of the identified problem.
- PICOT statement derived to address the problem.
- The key findings/trends in the literature addressing the PICOT.
- The key findings/trends from the expert and the client.
- The finalized recommendations for the mentor/agency (what changes are planned).
- How does the student recommend the agency/program/mentor evaluate or measure whether the recommended changes will result in improvement? (need to be specific)
- Q & A slide
- References Slide
To ensure that the final project is of professional caliber, the student will complete a draft which will be reviewed by peers and mentor. Students should make revisions based upon feedback and upload the final presentation by the final due date. Please be sure to take down older versions of the project so as not to confuse the instructor/mentor. To submit, upload the final PowerPoint presentation to your blog under the tab “Final Project Presentation”.
Peer Review: The student will review at least 2 other peer’s work against the assignment criteria and submit their review in the comments section by the identified deadline in the peer’s blog. Each student may have no more than 2 peer reviews to ensure that all students receive at least one peer review. Peer reviewers must provide at least 2 pieces of constructive feedback and 1 piece of positive feedback. It cannot be the same feedback given by others.
Criteria for Success: This is assignment is considered complete once the student has obtained approval in writing via the comments section of their blog by the instructor and the mentor. Additionally, the final project presentation via Zoom must have been completed.
