Goal 6 BIOL 101: Biological Concepts

I never took a biology class in high school, so I was a little worried about how I would do in this class. Surprisingly, it turned out to be one of my favorite classes of freshman year. The professor made the material very understandable; he was also hilarious and often attempted to make pop-culture references. The primary topics of the class included cell structure and processes, genetics, biomes, biological diversity, and evolution. Since a large amount of detailed notes came from each class, I spent quite a number of hours studying. Hand-writing my lecture notes proved to be an effective way to retain the information. The only part of the class I did not enjoy as much was the weekly labs. We spent several labs looking in microscopes that I could not figure out or experimenting in petri-dishes that hardly ever yielded any results. I wish that we could have had more of a variety of experiments in the lab.

The artifact I chose is a page of questions from a lab on February 22, 2017. The lab focused on the scientific method of an experiment with Vitamin C.
