LSEM 100: Longwood Honors Seminar Reflection

Every freshman at Longwood is required to take LSEM, a Longwood seminar class. Normally, each student is placed in their LSEM class based on their major; however, Honors students are placed together in separate groups. This allowed me to become closer to my Honors peers and for a long-term community to be built between students. Without LSEM, I would never have gained such a great opportunity to learn more about being a first-year student or developed such great friendships. My professor and peer mentor genuinely cared about me and how I was adjusting to college life, and this is still true today. Some lessons I especially enjoyed from LSEM were the Library Scavenger Hunt and the Farmville Town Council Meeting we attended.

Here are two artifacts I chose; one is the very first journal I wrote for the class, and the other is a letter I wrote for myself at the beginning of the semester.
