Longwood Honors Freshman Seminar

During Longwood Honors Freshman Seminar, or LSEM, we explored different aspects of college life. As a new college student, this class helped me adjust to my new academic and social environment. The purpose of LSEM is to help new students assimilate to college, so we discussed topics such as communication with professors, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, staying organized, getting along with roommates, and the various requirements for honors students. Without this class, I definitely would have had a difficult time adjusting to Longwood and FarmVille. In one of our assignments, shown below, we had to create a travel itinerary for spending “24 Hours in FarmVille” and this project helped me to learn about the various things this community has to offer.
