Much of my English 201 course consisted of reading poems, novels, and Greek mythology. We were assigned specific readings every week. In class we would take daily quizzes that tested us on the assigned readings. The remainder of the class was spent discussing the readings, analyzing them, and asking questions. One of the final books that we read was “A Tale for the Time Being,” by Ruth Ozeki. We were fortunate enough to have her visit our class once we finished her book. We were given the opportunity to have lunch with her, listen to her story, and ask her questions regarding her book. It was quite a wonderful and unique experience.
