There is a great sense of community here at Longwood University. My involvement in multiple organizations has given me the opportunity to meet many students and become involved throughout the Farmville community. Not only have my peers here at Longwood given me the sense of community, but the professors have as well. Longwood professors truly care about their students, and they are always willing to lend assistance. My nursing professors in particular have been influential in creating a sense of community for me here at Longwood. Not only are they my instructors, but I feel that they truly care about me personally and my success in the nursing program. They are always willing to lend a listening ear and give advise, regardless of whether or not it pertains to my classes. They have helped make Longwood my home away from home. The Cormier Honors College also has a sense of community. The Honors College emphasizes the importance of a close-knit community that is always present when assistance, support, and encouragement are needed. Overall I believe that Longwood University is a very tightly knit community.
