ENGL 215

I took HON ENGL 215 in Fall 2020 with Professor Haffner. This class was focused on technology in literature and how literature has responded to the ever changing digital technologies.

Throughout the semester, we read literature where technology changed the lives of the characters. Some of the literature used realistic technology and others used technology that seems unrealistic. As honors students, we were not only asked to recognize the differences between the technologies, but also notice the connections and ways that technology was talked about throughout the writings. We did projects based off of some of the literature, one being writing a short story where technology is talked about in the same way as one of the pieces of literature that we read. I chose to write a short story about performative activism through the view of social media posts, which is linked below as my artifact.
