In Fall 2019, I took SPAN 111 to fulfill my global citizenship pillar. I have taken Spanish throughout much of high school but the big difference with SPAN 111 was the amount of conversations we had with others in Spanish. By having more direct conversations and using the language, I was able to pick up much more of the language and be able to use it more often. My artifact from this class was a video project I did with a partner. We researched Spanish speaking countries and made a video on how animal sacrifices have been a big part in the culture of multiple Spanish speaking countries.
