Letter to Senior Self

Dear Senior Self,

At the end of the first year of college, the world is a little crazy right now. This past semester had to be finished online and everyone is home. Even with all of this happening, I have still had an amazing year at Longwood. I met my best friends, joined multiple organizations, worked hard, and decided to double major.

I hope that the next few years continue to be just as good or even better. This time has made me realize that I need my friends and Longwood family more than I realized. One of my goals for the future is to never forget what these people have done to keep me from going crazy while staying home and the fun times we have had even without being together in person.

Another goal I have is to keep up my hard work as I would like to keep a good GPA. All of my hard work this past year have led me to many opportunities especially in the music department. I have made many connections and hope to continue keeping these connections as I go through school and life.

My final goal, and possibly the most important, is to never forget why I went into music. Music has helped me through many rough times in my life and I want to make sure that everyone is able to experience that through my own teachings as past teachers have done for me.

As I continue school, in person I hope, I know that Longwood will continue to push me to be the best I can be while still showing me a good time. Never forget this time and the people who helped us through. I am already proud of what I have accomplished and I hope you will still be proud of your work as well as your school.

Sincerely,

Your Freshman Self
