Fitness Concepts Through Exercise
Goal 11
Fitness Concepts Through Exercise was honestly a joke of a class. It was supposed to be a physical education class, but I thought it was hypocritical because most of the work I had to do for it was online. There were reports we had to do online and pre-activity worksheets we had to fill out. We only had to go into class to perform the exercises once a week and when we did it only took fifteen minutes because they were so easy and nobody took them seriously. I saw people just sitting on the floor for fifteen minutes and then they would get up and leave. I’m glad I picked a time to go when my friend Nathan could go because it would be awkward to do partner exercises with people I didn’t know. We actually did the exercises because we knew we would have to know some of them for the mid term test. It still didn’t take us very long to do them. Another part of the class was wearing a FitBit to track your step progress over a week.
This is one of the reports I had to complete every two weeks about my steps. For the reports we had to give the high amount of steps for the week and the low amount of steps for the week and the reasons we thought we got them. We had to do it for two weeks at a time and take graphs from our FitBit account. For one of these weeks I was in Atlanta for another class and ended up getting 33,473 steps in one day. We had to explore the city and ended up walking through different neighborhoods. My low that week was in the four thousands because I was resting from all the walking I did on my trip and it was the car ride back. These reports didn’t really help me they just showed me how many steps I had in certain weeks and put it into writing like I couldn’t just look at my app to see it anyways.
