Not So Lucky Foot

Rabbits have been my focus this semester. After adopting a rabbit over the summer and falling in love with her, she quickly became my inspiration. This screen print with text transfer causes the viewer to question the common “Lucky Rabbits Foot”. Who was really the lucky one, the beholder of the cute keychain, or the Rabbit?

Artist Biography

Amanda Haymans is an Art Education Major with a concentration in printmaking at Longwood University. Currently she works with the intent that every piece of artwork may be used as a teacher example in the PK-12 classroom. To prepare artistically and professionally, Amanda attends professional conferences including the statewide Virginia Art Education Association Conference and the National Southern Graphics International Conference. Amanda has submitted works to several print exchanges and has work exhibited in Hungary, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Missouri. Since Amanda is a lifelong learner she intends to continue entering exchanges and exhibitions and as well as participating in art education and printmaking conferences: sharing and learning with other professionals.
