General Audience Paper

General Audience paper

Here is a link to my General Audience Paper. I did not really enjoy this paper as much as I thought I would because I had to simplify a lot of topics that I find interesting. In order for my topic to translate and be appealing to the masses, I needed to take some jargon out. Fancy jargon is one of my favorite parts about a specialized field in science so this made me kind of sad. Overall this paper was not too hard to write, although the reference limit was a little difficult to maneuver around. If I had to repeat the process of writing this paper, I would have wanted to look at more general audience papers that were close to my topic to see how far things needed to be simplified. I think that the best way to write papers like this is to review others from the field, so I wished I had done more of that beforehand.
