In Spring 2019, I took English 165, Writing and Rhetoric. This class was extremely helpful to me. I got to expand my writing skills across many academic disciplines, including my own. I enjoyed this class because I feel like I really strengthened my writing skills.
The artifact that I chose for this class is a powerpoint that I made that discusses the sources for one of my final papers. I have never had to present a paper before, so this assignment was challenging. I enjoyed being able to pick the topic I was writing about, and I liked how much freedom we had with this assignment. I asked my professor for help on this assignment and I feel that this made my project stand out and I was able to earn a 95. In the future, I will be less hesitant to ask for help because my professor’s clarifications were very helpful.
Working in this class was fairly easy for me because the pace was slower than other classes and my professor was very helpful. This class taught me that I like 8 a.m. classes as well. It was my first 8 a.m. class ever and I really enjoyed it.
