Scholarship

Scholarship is known as “academic study or achievement.” Where I found my academic achievement at Longwood University was through the nursing program. Coming in as a freshman I knew that Longwood University was ranked high for this program, I had already found achievement with getting in. Once I got to Longwood I realized how special this program really was. I had to adapt fast to learn about all the new ideas and topics that were thrown at me. In my first type of nursing class, “Nursing 100” I realized how fast I needed to learn. My first quiz was a huge stepping stone on how these classes were going to go. My first quiz was on 6 chapters and to me, that seemed like a lot. I truly didn’t know how to study and after the first quiz I found out I needed to try a new technique. I tried new ways of studying and after the second quiz, I was already on track for doing a lot better.
