Letter to Senior Self

Dear Senior Barbara,

Wow.  You made it.  I know you cannot believe you made it this far, but take a deep breath and believe it.  It is your last year learning, and next year will start the rest of your life teaching the tiny brains of tomorrow!  You have been so excited for this point and you are so close.   It will feel like practically tomorrow when you are wearing your cap and gown graduating across Wheeler Lawn. Before you know it you will be walking through the doors of your new classroom, decorated the way you dreamed and your first class of kids will be walking in excited to learn.

With that being said, keep some things in mind. Hang with your amazing friends, go new places, take lots of pictures. Laugh so much you can barely breath. Continue to meet new people. Have the time of your life, but remember, school is not over yet.  Keep your eyes on the prize!  Senioritis will want to take over, but DO NOT ALLOW that. You’re going to have an amazing last year of college.  Everything will be done in a blink of an eye, try to savor it.

You have accomplished so much throughout the years.  You tackled freshman year amazingly, started a new sport you grew to love, continued the sport you have always loved, have the best group of friends, studied abroad in Greece, killed every honors class you took, and now you have senior year to keep adding to the list.  Everyone is so proud and you know it.  Continue to be the true amazing you!

Love your Freshman self <3
