ENGL 165: HONS: Writing and Rhetoric

I learned a lot about the conventions of good college writing in English 165. I came into the course a fairly decent writer. My English classes in high school were taught by some of the best teachers in my county, and I grew a lot during that time. Through this course, I was able to learn more and refine my skill as a writer. I developed research strategies and I learned the significance of language, structure, and reference when it comes to writing in academics, and how they vary. I worked hard on my Literature Review and my Academic Article, and it is my Academic Article I have attached as my artifact. My Academic Article grew my ability to research, as I was able to develop my own process for researching. This project was tedious at times, but the way it was broken up into smaller assignments allowed me to do my very best on each part without becoming overwhelmed.

“Academic Article”, by Tyler Cosley; semester long project, turned in April, 2020.

Overall, I am proud of my efforts in this course, and I am even prouder of the growth I have experienced and the positive impact it has had on my other classes.
