Service

Growing up I was constantly told I had a “servants heart”. My faith has fostered this ideal and I work hard every day to ensure I serve others in some form. Serving others is a strength of mine. I feel called to help people, in whatever way I can, and Longwood has given me so many opportunities to serve my community.

There are so many service opportunities to choose from at Longwood that it can sometimes become overwhelming. With such a busy schedule, I try to make a small impact in my current activities, by serving those that are around me on a daily basis. I enjoy serving my peers whenever I can help, and giving back to my professors who give so much to me. I serve my clubs by holding leadership positions, where I give my time and put my all into ensuring the well being of the club members and the overall impact we have on campus.

The Honors college is service driven. From the moment I became involved in honors, I was helping out around a farm and I have been offered hundreds of new opportunities to serve and collaborate with my peers.
