Evaluating Progress

School performance is based upon data outcomes. Data provides the critical information needed to determine if schools are providing effective instruction and it provides the needed feedback to improve student outcomes.  If we do not monitor and evaluate our schools and programs, we left directionless, with no idea of whether we are providing the rigor and relevance needed for our students, we do not know if our programs are effective, and we cannot account for money spent or the impact of financial investments.

Systems to put into place for our school, our students, and our teachers would include:

  • Data walk-thrus
  • Climate surveys
  • Teacher observations
  • Formative data collection
  • Benchmark data
  • Standardized testing data
  • Continuously asking ourselves, “How can we improve?”
