In Fall 2021, I developed a LinkedIn Profile for ENGL 205. This project was not only valuable because of the profile itself, but also because it included the process of refining my resume and learning some basics of networking as I prepared to apply for graduate schools. This process also helped me understand how, in today’s world, a professional presence online can serve as a way to promote your “personal brand,” to share what’s important to you, and to connect with like-minded individuals. Ultimately, this experience helped me consider what my values are and define what is important to me as I approach the next phase of my academic and professional career.
