For the 2020 NCHC conference, Jacob Farmer and I presented a virtual roundtable on the Cormier Honors College’s approach to building community and leadership among honors students titled “Hearts & Minds: A Pathway to Cultivating a Community of Leaders.” Although we were unable to present in person, this was still a valuable experience. I learned about the process of submitting a conference proposal, collaborated with my co-presenter to write an abstract and script, and practiced “public” speaking skills for a zoom-recorded presentation.
