Reproductive Justice

By far, this was my favorite class I have ever taken in my entire life. As a person with a female body, I thought it was very important that I take this class. I learned about different birth control methods, the history of birth control, and I learned about groups of people who are oppressed in the reproductive and medical field. This class taught me about the intersection between race/ethnicity, gender, age, sexuality, and ability/disability. I learned about specific people’s stories when receiving reproductive health care, or specific people’s accounts of oppressions and hardships when trying to receive healthcare. I also learned about the difference between a Pregnancy Support Center, which isn’t a medical practice, and a Planned Parenthood, which is a medical practice. Additionally, in this class, we talked often of social issues such as the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and how it could affect reproductive healthcare in the future.

For this class, we had to complete four blogpost assignments. These were my favorite assignments, as we got to include memes and interactive aspects to the assignment. Attached is the final one.
