Reflection: English 150 was the first Honors class I have ever taken. It was a great opportunity because of the small class size. Through this I was able to learn a lot about what professors look for in college writing and how writing is important in my major. The professor taught me a lot about the importance of writing as a whole. In high school, I was taught to write a paper based on a specific rubric that the teacher wanted us to follow. I learned that in college, Professors do not expect you to follow a rubric perfectly. They expect you to have your own opinion and input about a topic and to make the paper your own rather than just restating facts. I enjoy college writing very much because of how much freedom I have when I write. I learned that from this English class.
