Professional Activity Spring Semester 2016 and 2017: The Big Event

April 2, 2016 and April 1, 2017

            The Big Event is a day of volunteering around the Farmville community.  I was a Job Site Leader so I organized team members, picked up tools for our job site, lead my team through our community service activity of cleaning a park, and was responsible for providing first aide when needed.

Participating in this event and being a Job Site Leader left me with a feeling of joy.  It was nice to see how our help around the community impacted the people who live in Farmville.  As a college student, it was nice to interact with other college students and the community of Farmville.  I felt proud at the end of the day knowing I helped the surrounding community.  As a nursing student, it is important to learn how to interact with other people where you live because I will be working with different patients every day.
