Professional Activity Fall Semester 2016: Multiple Sclerosis Walk
November 19, 2016
MS Walk is a walk put on by the National MS Society to raise money for multiple sclerosis research. I am a member of The Student Nurses Association’s and our philanthropy is multiple sclerosis. As an association, we held fundraisers to raise money for the walk. Not only the organization, but students from all over the school came together and raised money to walk around campus in support for multiple sclerosis.
I was happy to raise money for this cause and participate in this walk with other nursing students. It was amazing to hear the stories that people gave about their experiences with multiple sclerosis and it made me realize how appreciative people were that we were there. As a nursing student, it is important to realize the impact that multiple sclerosis has on people and their families. I felt empowered to work as a team with fellow nursing students to support this cause.
