Sociology 320, the Sociology of Education was one of my favorite classes this past semester. Throughout the course, I learned about what impacts education from minority status to physical ability. I engaged in lectures and read weekly articles about various educational topics such as curriculum, school violence, and funding. This class challenged my preconceived notions, and overall made me a better student. I was able to enhance this class and did research with a group on what makes a good teacher by doing research, interviewing a teacher, parent, and principal and then writing a group essay which I will include.
