Service

  • On October 31st, 2018, I volunteered at the Farmville Halloween parade passing out candy. I loved getting to see all of the sweet children in their costumes, and especially enjoyed the baby I saw dressed like a Moe’s burrito. Serving the community brought me so much joy, especially on my first Halloween away from home. It also allowed me to get to know my fellow honors students, Selena Carrera and Kelsey Swegle, better.
  • I participate in frequent highway cleanups for Inherit the Earth and volunteer at the Wayland nursing home through Sigma Kappa Sorority.
  • I participated in Relay For Life and raised $1,575 for the Honors Student Association in 2019.
  • I participated in the 2019 Big Event doing yard work.
  • I was the Outreach Chair for the Honors Student Association in 2019 and organized an SPCA fundraiser selling stickers.
  • I became Vice President of Philanthropy for Sigma Kappa Sorority for the 2019-2020 term and organized events such as Walk to End Alzheimer’s, a fundraiser night, a Relay for Life Booth, and other various service projects.
  • I participated in the MLKJ Day of Service.
  • As Vice President of Programming for the College Panhellinic Council, I planned a Trick or Treat event for the Andy Taylor Center with offices in Upchurch University Center.
