Biology has always been a subject that I have been interested in, so I was excited to take a Biology class specifically designed for teachers. It has been a challenging semester of material, but I appreciate everything that I have learned. Dr. Adikari’s passion for the subject showed in everything that he taught, and while the class was not easy, I am grateful I got to experience it. I learned about everything from generic inheritance to preserving the environment and have a more diverse knowledge base because of it. Possibly my favorite assignments in the course were our SOL presentations where we chose a biology standard of learning for any grade level and made a presentation about how we would teach it. The first one I ever completed in which I created my own original lesson plan is what I decided to include for my artifact.
