Dear Central Intelligence Agency,
As a lifelong enthusiast of my liberal studies major, I was thrilled to see your posting for the position of Graduate Studies Program- Intelligence Analyst. I am positive I can help with the CIA’s upcoming challenges.
In my current position at Longwood University as a student about to graduate, I have completed many classes that can help with this program. Over the course of my college years, I have faced many challenges that can be helpful in this line of work. For example, I have taken on many roles of becoming Vice-President of Standards for my Sorority. I have also volunteered many years at a local fire department and have been on Administration.
I know that the CIA is looking for an Intelligence Analyst. This project is a perfect match for personal and professional interests and an exciting opportunity to create a unique analyst.
I would welcome to the chance to discuss my information on intelligence agency and help create a unique way to help analyze what needs to be analyzed.
Kind Regards,
Lauren Carroll

My expert identity is involving a better understanding of psychology. The reason behind my minor choice involves why I dropped my licensure of teaching. I chose this minor because I want to become an EMT after college. Having the help of a psychology minor can help me with understanding research and how people act in these situations also, it can help me identify what is wrong with the person when it comes to medicines or biological psychology. I still have a semester left to learn and complete my minor. These classes will be helpful in the future. Also, the class I received previously to choosing my minor. Having all the English course required can help with writing important and clear notes or certain research. The diversity of religions can help when you are trying to understand when someone needs help when they deny help due to religious beliefs. The political science can help with understanding what happens within the American government. Overall, these courses will help me with what I want to accomplish in the future.

These graphs are from The United States Census in the year 2017. I chose these graphs to show how important population is. The population has grown so much in the past couple of years. In this specific dataset, it has selected a few states and pointed out how many are in different states. As you can tell, you can see that the most popular state is California. You can see the difference of population in each state depending on how many popular a state is. This shows that although there are so many people in California, there is still more room left in Michigan. I chose this type of data chart to show the population and population per square mile in a better form with color.
In this dataset, this specifically shows the population in the major cities in The United States. As you can tell, New York City is one of the most populated cities compared to any other city in The United States. This shows where a lot of people want to go and visit. Although these cities are large, this shows the importance of keeping count of the population.

Hello,
My name is Lauren Carroll. I am a senior at Longwood University with my major being Liberal Studies and my minor in Psychology. I have worked many jobs and have taken on many roles throughout the years. My academic preparation for liberal studies has taken place since high school. I was in a college level class called, Teacher Prep, which included many areas of going into the classroom as well as creating my own lesson plans. I have also taken on substitute teaching. This gives me an insight to the teacher world and has allowed me to connect into the county that I work for and will help with future jobs. I have also picked up roles to help me learn to time manage such as holding positions in my Greek life organization. I hold a council position called Vice-President of Standards and I also hold minor positions such as, leadership chair and T-shirt committee. I have a personal philosophy of working hard to get what you want in life. I set my goals and I try to complete them.
I have worked multiple jobs throughout the years, I have served as a substitute teacher, a waitress, a rec aide, and camp instructor. With each of these jobs, I have held a professional attitude. I have respected all my employers and have impressed all my managers and bosses. Each has told me if you need a letter of recommendation they will write one. I hold the philosophy is if you work hard, your work will pay off in the future.

Psychology is an interesting topic that can be useful in understanding how the human thinks and works. According to the article by Science Daily, a genetic mutation underlying severe childhood brain disorder has been identified. This shows that a mutation in the alpha-N-catenin gene, which promotes cell adhesion and causes pachygyria. Pachygyria is one of the most serious developmental brain defects which is characterized by a nonnormal movement of the brain nerve cells, also known as neurons. With studying this shows the three families that are affected by this disease. This mutation can affect how nerve cells travel from their source of origin in developing the brain to their concluding destination. In healthy brains, a specific protein controls the shape of the cell and helps those neurons move to the correct position in the brain. This protein is lacking because of a genetic mutation, which causes Pachygyria. But with this finding can raise the possibility of genetic engineering through the techniques. Uncovering a key gene responsible for pachygyria and understanding its dynamic allows researchers to discover a variation of the condition. Pachygyria can be discovered either in the front or the back of the brain, which changes the development of the brain. Have founding this unique feature leads to the conclusion that a new gene, not previously linked to pachygyria is responsible. This is showing that people with a with a single-copy mutation of a specific gene are causing epilepsy, autism, and schizophrenia.
