In the reflection we were asked to talk about our personal experiences with disabilities as well as what we hope to learn about disabilities. I enjoyed this assignment because it allowed me to look into my past and realize just how much experience I have already had with people who have disabilities.
I really enjoyed this class and feel like I learned a lot of new information. We learned about a large spectrum of disabilities as well as their history and what we can do as educators to help them succeed. While a lot of this class was tailored for those pursuing a career as a teacher, my professor did a really great job incorporating my major so we didn’t feel left out. This class provided me with a lot of useful information that I know I will be using throughout the rest of my life.
