Attached above is one of the papers assigned throughout the semester. This particular paper was aimed at the general audience, with the goal of anyone being able to read and understand the research. We were asked to find a topic we were interested in as well as a research article that provides adequate information about it. We also wrote a paper aimed at the scientific audience, which allowed us to practice the format and wording that would work best for our intended audience.
This class had a heavy workload and challenged me in many ways. It taught me how to change study techniques when needed as well as to be comfortable voicing concerns to professors if present. This class really emphasized the community of Longwood, as many students were willing to provide extra help to those struggling and share techniques that helped them throughout the class.
