Letter to my Freshman Self/ Reflection of “Letter to my Senior Self”

Dear Freshman Self,

We made it to our final semester and about a month out from walking across that stage to receive our diploma. As I sit and reflect this very moment, I realize just how proud that you would be of your growth, hard work, and passion that got you where you are in your journey. You are not only close to the end of your undergrad career, but you are going to your top choice of graduate programs. You will be remaining at Longwood in the CSD Graduate Program! I am proud of the individual you have become throughout your undergraduate journey. Your love for your future career in the speech pathology remains to grow with each day, and you are excited for the things to come. I cannot say this enough: I am so proud of you! You have persevered through a lot the last four years, and you are well-deserving in all the great things coming for you in the future! Never stop learning and growing. Keep being yourself!

Love always,

Your Senior Self

Reflection:

The last 4 years have been nothing short of amazing! I have learned a lot in my journey through being a Honors Scholar as well as a CSD student. Reflecting on my experiences as a freshman vs. now as a senior is big stuff! There were moments I did not think that I would make it through, but look where we are now! I will never not be proud of my freshman self for the things learned along the way and the growth that took place and will continue to do so.
