Traveling to Costa Rica was AMAZING! Every second spent in that beautiful country was a blessing. I traveled with a group of peers who started off as strangers traveling to a foreign country and became friends who bonded and shared memories of a life time together. Learning about culture in Costa Rica by traveling to different parts was eyeopening. The CHC truly made this opportunity possible by helping financially. We studied sustainability, ecotourism, and economic development.

Throughout our time in Costa Rice, we traveled to Pal Michal and explored the forest with a scenic trek. We also learned how coffee is grown and processed at a local coffee farm. We danced with the local students and enjoyed s’mores once the sun set. My last photo on this page is from when we went horseback riding in the mountains of Monteverde cloud forest. The view was absolutely breathtaking! We also went extreme zip lining over the continental divide which was very thrilling. Towards the end of the journey we had a beach day at Playa Ventana Beach and went white water rafting.
