Scholarship: learning at a high level

Longwood provides me with endless opportunities to learn and grow. As a member of the Cormier Honors College I am part of  a small group of hand selected students invited to participate in this program. I am given the opportunity to learn both in and outside the classroom. Through specific honors classes I am able to have deep intellectually stimulating classes geared toward discussion.

My honor classes are by far some of my most enjoyable classes. The discussions between my classmates and professors go beyond the immediate surface of a conversation. They dive deep into topics and connect ideas with reason. The honors college also allows me to complete class enhancements where I have completed independent research and been able to present my semesters work to my peers, facility, and staff.
