LSEM

Longwood seminar, LSEM, was a chance for me to get acquainted with Longwood. As an honors class I was with fellow honor college peers. This gave me a great opportunity to meet the other students enrolled in the honors college. I noticed many similar characteristics regarding work ethic and pride in our academics. I also noticed many differences based on background. During LSEM we discussed current issues in society. These issues included race, police brutality, crime, and many more. This class allowed me to expand my knowledge as well as share my own perspective on topics. This discussion based class was stimulating and extremely enjoyable. LSEM also required students to go attend activities on campus, which aided us as new students to get familiar with the campus and the opportunities present.
