This honors class was extremely challenging, however, I learned more than what was on the syllabus. This class required a daily reading assignment which I have never experienced previously. I learned how to manage my time and be proactive. I loved this class because classroom time was purely discussion of the assigned reading and its implications. We discussed how the reading was a reflection of the author and the countries history. We discussed many pressing issues such as nationalism and colonialism. This class explored many authors and works from all over the world and taught me more than just what was discussed in class. This class taught me to manage my time, pick apart books beyond what is written, and have confidence in my thoughts.
