I enhanced my principles of management course to deepen my understanding of technology in the present-day workforce. I explored how managers use technology to be an effective leader along with the challenges technology causes managers to face. I improved my listening, writing, research, and presenting skills through this enhancement. Dr. Haug was my adviser through this enhancement.
Dr. Haug and I hosted a focus group of students for about 45 minutes. The results of the focus group were used to create a ten question survey, which was pretested, and then distributed electronically from 24 Oct to 12 Nov 2017. The response rate was
76% (38 of 50 sent out). We used the Likert Scale during our survey then when presenting the results we combined strongly and somewhat agree. We were able to draw conclusions about technology in the present-day workforce.
