For my study abroad requirement, I took the course Hons-490. In this course, we worked with honors students from The Netherlands. We worked in groups to come up with an innovative idea to combat climate change. We compared different environmental issues from the United States and the Netherlands and came up with an idea to try to combat these issues. My group decided to come up with an app in order to spread awareness and resources to people around the world about climate change. There were features that would provide people with different alternatives to their daily routine in order to become more sustainable. There were also features that allowed people to connect with people from all over the world where they could share their ideas. I really enjoyed this course because my family is form the Netherlands so I enjoyed getting to connect with Dutch people. I also am passionate about the environment so I enjoyed taking a course on it. My artifact is my group’s final podcast.
