English 165 focused on learning how different writing styles differ over different fields and mediums. This course was very helpful in teaching me the proper format for writing in my major as well as in other fields. I have always struggled when it came to APA format but this course really helped me solidify my abilities in this area which has helped me immensely in my other course outside and inside my major. I also got to explore different genres of writing as well as learn the different writing styles of different disciplines. I enjoyed exploring different areas of study and how they overlap with others. The artifact was a literature review that I wrote on phobias in children. The topic is very important to me so I enjoyed being able to further my research on the topic. This course also helped me learn how to effectively conduct research through scholarly sources on the GreenWood Library’s database.
