A strong sense of community has always been very important to me and something I cherish greatly. When initially applying for colleges to attend, I was mainly looking for a school that had an accepting student body where I could find a place to belong. I noticed right away when touring and hearing things about Longwood, that it was a very tight-nit community that was very supportive and I knew this is where I truly belonged. During my short time at Longwood, I have definitely experienced the love that the Longwood faculty and students have to offer and I feel like I truly belong. I have greatly seen the power that community has in the Honors community. I love the honors community and the amazing people that I have met through the program. It is such a supportive community where individuality is celebrated and encouraged. Through honors, I have met some of my best friends that push me to be the best version of myself as well as encourage me throughout all of my endeavors. I am so grateful for the supportive and strong Longwood and Honors community and for all of the things it has done for me.
