Joining the Honors family was definitely the best thing I have ever done! I love being a part of this community of leaders! As an honors freshman, I was given the opportunity to live in Wheeler Hall and join the Honors Student Association. Everyone in the Honors College is a member of HSA, but I wanted to actually be involved and get to know everyone. I accomplished this goal and was a distinguished member both semesters of freshman year. Both of these experiences have been wonderful and I hope to continue being a part of HSA until I graduate. Living in Wheeler was also fantastic because most honors events are held in Wheeler so I was able to make it to almost everything. Honors freshmen are also able to move in three days earlier than other freshmen so we can go on the Honors Leadership Retreat. This made my transition to college much easier because I had the opportunity to get to know the campus and community so much better than if I were only here for a few days before classes started.
