At first I was very hesitant on applying to the honors college here at Longwood. I was worried it would be a lot more work and would stress me out with more challenging classes. It was until I learned more about the Cormier Honors College that I found out the motto, “It is not harder work, it is different work.” This saying really captures the scholarship aspect of the honors college here at Longwood. With the two honors classes I have already taken, I have realized that it is indeed different work and not harder work. Instead of the traditional textbook, we mainly read journal entries and went around campus conducting interviews with different faculty and staff. This also helped me to get to know the campus more.
