Service to others has always been a significant part of who I am. The role of service within the Cormier Honors College is absolutely incredible. During just my first week at Longwood, I was able to welcome and help so many incoming freshmen move into their dorms, meeting so many friendly faces.

After better getting to know fellow honors scholars, I learned that there was a co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega (APO). I decided to go to a couple of open houses, recognized quite a few people from honors and I knew this organization was for me. Some of those friendly faces in the Cormier Honors College would soon become my brothers.

Because of honors, I have been able to continue service to others even in college. With only one year completed at Longwood, I’m thrilled to say I’ve contributed to countless projects and events to the community as well as beyond.
