BIOL 120 – Integrative Biology

This course was my first encounter with the biology department at Longwood University, as well as one of my first honors courses. This course covered everything from “the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell” to the Central Dogma to population genetics. I was initially concerned I didn’t come in with enough knowledge to do well in the class, but was soon reassured at how comprehensive and interesting the material was.

Below is the results section of one of the projects we conducted in lab where we looked at the effect of different amounts of fertilizer on Brassica rapa (Wisconsin Fast Plants).
