Once gaining more confidence in writing scientific papers, my Sophomore Seminar class (BIOL 288) class had us write both a literature review and a general audience paper on a topic of our choice. I chose to focus on technology use during multiple pandemics (BIOL 288 General Audience Paper). Gearing my scientific expertise towards a much broader audience was not a skill I was too familiar with, so this really helped me think about what would catch the reader’s eye, rather than the usual scientific article writing.
